Today 16/12/14 i received a txt saying it was a receipt for £30 i had spent on a website and gave two codes that looked like links to another website it WASNT i think it was a link confirming i had bought something ( which i hadnt } i never agreed to buy anything or subscribe to any service whatsoever i rang EE and they said the number belonged to a firm called Impulse Pay i rang their number 4 times and all i got was an answer phone message saying that they would get back to me within 24hrs.Somehow i dont think they will, EE also gave me a website address of phone pay plus .org in case i dont get anywhere with them. The link came through whilst i was on TWITTER almost like a pop up?? at no point did i give out my mobile number or anything else so it begs the question how these scumbags get to take money from your phone without permission etc or why EE let them.N Ward.

I want a refund for £30.00 for PrizeFun. They did not specify they were going to charge me if I answered the questions on my mobile on the Chrome website. I have spoken to the police and if you do notgive me my money back you will be charged with fraud. If you do not re[ply to this within one working week, in other words by May first In will put this matter in their hands. You have fraudently taken money from my account. I neill print and keep any correspondence between us.

I experienced the same senario yesterday 20.5.15. I received a text saying freeMsy: you have paid £6.00 for 1 entry from Big win visited at 4.09pm. At the above time I was on my way to work after the school run. I have spoken both to the company on 02035405938 and EE for my refund and either will not refund. I am still chasing the case and will see the end of it with success.

Double check the bar on your account, guys.

I had the bar applied twice, allegedly, but every time I called back the phone company rep said that the company could still send me text messages and that the bar had been applied incorrectly (apparently the procedure had not been followed correctly).

On my fourth call, I decided to change my number. Changing your number is easy - they can provide you with numbers and you choose the one you want, then they change it on the spot.

My thinking is this: Even if the bar could be successfully applied, ImpulsePay and its merchants are savvy: they scammed us in the first place with their pop ups; their phone numbers and emails are about as useful as a black hole; and I wouldn't put it past them to figure out a way to overrule a bar on a phone account!

In the meantime, will be reporting this fraud to the Phone Pay Plus team. Scamsters like this must be stopped.

This happened to me too. They say you can win an iPad Air 2 by answering a few questions. They didn't tell me that it costed £6.00 to select each answer. Before I know it, they took away £30.00, to my astonishment.

I tried to call them, but couldn't get anyone. I requested a call back and no one called back. I made a complaint on www.phonepayplus.org.uk/for-the--public/make-a-complaint.

How can people do such things!? Why haven't they been stopped?
